Course participants and holiday-makers enjoy the following outside facilities at La Maison Verte:
 

• We have a gated saltwater swimming pool:  residential course members find it refreshing to take a dip in our un-chlorinated water - so much better for swimming costumes and hair!  Whilst not enormous, it is great for cooling down after a busy morning singing, talking or painting, and frequent (somewhat noisy!) water polo matches punctuate the season.  And surrounding the pool are shady mulberry trees, a nook with a hammock, and plenty of sun loungers for the breaks.
• table tennis table: situated next to the wine barn, group participants tend to flow easily and naturally outside for informal tournaments.
• Our huge courtyard doubles as a boules pitch with many challenging corners and crannies for keen players (which nearly everyone is by the end of a week here)
• a large, beautiful, and fragrant garden with plenty of secluded areas for dining, painting, thinking – or not!

Roujan is a busy village with local stores including two bakers, two butchers, a chemist, restaurants and bars.

The ancient town of Pezenas is 10km, the beach about 20km, and mountains and lakes 6-10km; the area is good for walking, climbing or cycling (we have a few bikes we could lend you) as well as sight-seeing.
